PL2403, PUEBLO SUPPLEMENTAL PLANNING AND DEMONSTRATION IN ADVANCE OF THE PUEBLO SUPPLEMENTAL PLANNING AND DEMONSTRATION SS4A GRANT, TRANSFERRING FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $9,829.80 FROM THE WAGES/POLICE SERVICE SALARY SAVINGS ACCOUNT 101- 20-2010-20-51030 FOR THE FUTURE PURCHASE OF LIGHT DETECTION AND RANGING (LIDAR) TECHNOLOGY BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that SECTION 1. PL2403, Pueblo Supplemental Planning and Demonstration Project, is hereby established. SECTION 2. Funds in the amount of $9,829.80 shall be transferred from the Wages/Police Service salary savings account 101-20-2010-20-51030, to Project No. PL2403, Pueblo Supplemental Planning and Demonstration Project. SECTION 3. The officers of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with this Resolution to implement the policies and procedures described herein. SECTION 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval. PL2403, PUEBLO SUPPLEMENTAL PLANNING AND DEMONSTRATION IN ADVANCE OF THE PUEBLO SUPPLEMENTAL PLANNING AND DEMONSTRATION SS4A GRANT, TRANSFERRING FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $9,829.80 FROM THE WAGES/POLICE SERVICE SALARY SAVINGS ACCOUNT 101-20-2010-20-51030 FOR THE FUTURE PURCHASE OF LIGHT DETECTION AND RANGING (LIDAR) TECHNOLOGY SUMMARY: This Resolution establishes Project No. PL2403, Pueblo Supplemental Planning and Demonstration in advance of the SS4A Grant, and transfers $9,829.80 from the Wages/Police Service salary savings account 101-20-2010-20-51030 for the future purchase of Light Detection And Ranging (LIDAR) technology. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: None BACKGROUND: The City submitted a Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) grant for $959,559 to supplement a FY2022 Safe Streets and Roads for All Action Plan with additional relevant information. A portion of this grant is to provide Light Detection And Ranging (LIDAR) technology equipment for the Police Department, in the amount of $49,149. The City has been awarded the grant and is working through the IGA process with the FHWA. In advance of that, the Police Department would like to place their portion of the required match into the project account. The total City match is $239,890, of which $9,829.80 is 20% of the Police Departments share of the grant. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: Funds in the amount of $9,829.80 shall be transferred from the Wages/Police Service salary savings Account 101-20-2010-20-51030 to Project No. PL2403, Pueblo Supplemental Planning and Demonstration Project. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: None. STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: None. ALTERNATIVES: The City Council may choose to fund the match for the police department equipment from other sources. RECOMMENDATION: Approval of the Resolution. ATTACHMENTS: None
