HomeMy WebLinkAbout10848ORDINANCE NO. 10848 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING, ACCEPTING, AND BUDGETING A COLORADO ENERGY OFFICE STATE FUNDS GRANT YFTG0124 ADMINISTERED BY THE COLORADO ASSOCIATION OF TRANSIT AGENCIES, AWARD, AND APPLICABLE CONDITIONS PERTAINING THERETO, BETWEEN THE CITY OF PUEBLO A COLORADO MUNICIPAL CORPORATION AND COLORADO ASSOCIATION OF TRANSIT AGENCIES ESTABLISHING PROJECT NO. PT2405, BUDGETING AND APPROPRIATING $62,213.39, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAME BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. The Awarding of the Youth Fare-Free Transit Program Grant to the City of Pueblo a Colorado Municipal Corporation, Pueblo Transit, a true copy of which is attached hereto, is hereby approved and accepted in accordance with its terms and conditions. SECTION 2. The Mayor of the City is authorized to execute the Grant Award Acceptance in the name of and on behalf of the City, and the Mayor is authorized to execute any and all other certifications, assurances and other documents associated therewith. SECTION 3. Project Number PT2405 is hereby established, and the amount of $62,213.39 is budgeted and appropriated, therefore. SECTION 4. The Officers and Staff of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with the intent of this Ordinance and the attached Award to implement the policies and procedures described herein. SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall become effective on the date of final action by the Mayor and City Council. PT2405, BUDGETING AND APPROPRIATING $62,213.39, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAME SUMMARY: Attached is a Grant Award YFTG0124 between the City of Pueblo a Colorado Municipal Corporation and Colorado Association of Transit Agencies (CASTA) for $62,213.39. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: No previous Council actions. BACKGROUND: The Youth Fare-Free Transit Grant in Colorado administered by Colorado Association of Transit Agencies (CASTA) on behalf of the Colorado Energy Office (CEO) through the Zero Fare Transit Grants Program provides Grants to eligible Transit Agencies in order to offer free Transit Services to youth riders in a calendar year beginning on October 1, 2024, and ending September 30, 2025. Youth Fare-Free Transit Grant is the COVID-e formation, increasing youth ridership on Transit, and reducing vehicle miles traveled in the State. The Grant provided is 100%, with a 0% match. The grant scope of work includes the following project: $$62,213.39 Estimated Cost $$62,213.39 Total Grant FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: The anticipated total Project cost is $62,213.39. The State share is 100% with no City match requirement. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: Pueblo Transit Board recommends approval. STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: Not applicable. ALTERNATIVES: The alternative, should this Ordinance not pass, is for the City of Pueblo a Colorado Municipal Corporation to not be able to provide the Youth Fare-Free Transit Grant Program for the calendar year from October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025.
