AN ORDINANCE APPROVING, ACCEPTING, AND BUDGETING
A MULTIMODAL TRANSPORTATION AND MITIGATION
OPTION FUNDS GRANT, AWARD, AND APPLICABLE
CONDITIONS PERTAINING THERETO, BETWEEN THE CITY
OF PUEBLO A COLORADO MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, AND
THE PUEBLO AREA COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS, AND
COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
ESTABLISHING PROJECT NO. PT2406, BUDGETING AND
APPROPRIATING $130,399.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
The Awarding of the Youth Fare-Free Transit Grant Program Grant to the City of Pueblo
a Municipal Corporation, Pueblo Transit, a true copy of which is attached hereto, is hereby
approved and accepted in accordance with its terms and conditions.
SECTION 2.
The Mayor of the City is authorized to execute the Grant Award acceptance in the name
of and on behalf of the City, and the Mayor is authorized to execute any and all other
certifications, assurances and other documents associated therewith.
SECTION 3.
Project Number PT2406 is hereby established, and the amount of $130,399.00 is
budgeted and appropriated, therefore.
SECTION 4.
The Officers and Staff of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and all acts
consistent with the intent of this Ordinance and the attached Award to implement the policies
and procedures described herein.
SECTION 5.
This Ordinance shall become effective on the date of final action by the Mayor and City
Council.

SUMMARY:
Attached is a Grant Award between the City of Pueblo a Colorado Municipal
Corporation and Colorado Department of Transportation for $130,399.00.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
No previous Council actions.
BACKGROUND:
This is a FY2023 Multimodal Transportation and Mitigation Option Funds Grant for
$130,399,00 allocation. The Grant provided is 100%, with a 0% match. This Grant
utilizes State Multimodal Funding. The Grant Scope of Work includes the following
project:

FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
City match requirement.
BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:
Pueblo Transit Board recommends approval.

ALTERNATIVES:
The alternative, should this Ordinance not pass, is for the City of Pueblo a Municipal
Corporation to not be able to provide solar lights at bus stops.
