SUMMARY:
This Resolution transfers $131,773.60 from Project No. SW2101, Storm System
Upgrade Illinois Ave and $150,000 from Project No. SW2302, Bank Stabilize City
Center/Santa Fe into Project No. SWAN03, Point Repair & Pipe Cleaning.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
None.
BACKGROUND:
The Stormwater Utility Enterprise has exhausted the funds appropriated for storm
sewer emergency point repair projects and will require additional funding to continue
repairing pipes and other stormwater infrastructure as cases arise to protect the general
health and welfare of the public. The following transfer will allow funding for the
remainder of 2024 and ensure the Stormwater Utility Enterprise is capable of
responding to storm sewer emergency point repairs.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Funding for this project will come from the Stormwater Utility Enterprise budget, Project
No. SW2101, Storm System Upgrade Illinois Ave and Project No. SW2302, Bank
Stabilize City Center/Santa Fe. The proposed funds being transferred are from
projects that have been completed by the Stormwater Utility Enterprise or others.
BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:
None.
STAKEHOLDER PROCESS:
None.
ALTERNATIVES:
Council could elect not to allow the transfer of funds, and the Stormwater Utility
Enterprise would not have the funds to execute current ongoing and future storm sewer
emergency point repair projects.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of the Resolution.
