HomeMy WebLinkAbout5195RESOLUTION NO. 5195 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS FROM THE UNRESTRICTED FUND BALANCE ACCOUNT TO THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT ACCOUNT FOR AIRPORT IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, the City Council is interested in improving the Pueblo Memorial Airport, and, WHEREAS, the additional funds are needed for construction of two speck buildings, one 25,000 sq. ft. and the other one, 50,000 sq. ft., and, WHEREAS, there is also a need for the improvement of the Pueblo Memorial Airport Terminal Building; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PUEBLO, COLORADO, that: SECTION 1. The Director of Finance is hereby Authorized to make the following Transfer of Funds: FROM AMOUNT 001 - 7090 Unrestricted.Fund Balance $860,000 TO AMOUNT 002 -1983 50,000 sq. ft. Pueblo, Colorado Re: Buildings at Pueblo Memorial Airport Gentlemen: The City of Pueblo does hereby designate Pueblo Development Foundation, Inc., a Colorado nonprofit corporation, its agent with authority to immediately construct or cause the construc- tion of two buildings at Pueblo Memorial Airport upon ground owned by the City. The cost of constructing the buildings will be solely that of the City. The two buildings will be constructed at a cost not to exceed $10.00 per square foot in accordance with plans and specifications approved by the City Manager. The buildings will be located on such of the City's property as shall be designated by the City Manager. The two buildings will consist of 25,000 square feet and 50,000 square feet respectively and will be what is generally termed "shell speculation" buildings for the use by business or industry desiring to locate at Pueblo Memorial Airport. Upon construction of the buildings it is the intention of the City to either enter into a management agreement with Pueblo Development Foundation, Inc. to manage the buildings for the City or transfer the land and buildings to Pueblo Development Foundation, Inc. with the understanding that all net income derived by Pueblo Development Foundation, Inc. from the lease or sale of the buildings will be used solely for further development of the business - industry area of Pueblo Memorial Airport. If the foregoing designation as agent for the City is acceptable to the Pueblo Development Foundation, Inc., please sign your acceptance thereof set forth below and return the original to the City.
