A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO, AUTHORIZING
THE PUBLICATION OF THE CITY'S COMMUNITY DEVELOPIIEI4T BLOCK GRA1T
(CDBG) FINAL STATEMENT OF OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES FOR THE 1983
ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
SUBMIT THE STATEMENT AND OTHER NECESSARY DOCUMENTATION TO THE
U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT (HUD) TO OBTAIN
$520,000 IN FEDERAL "JOBS PROGRAM" FUNDS
WHEREAS, the City of Pueblo, hereinafter called City, is designated as an
entitlement city under the Housing and Community Development Act of 1980; and
WHEREAS, the City has been informed by HUD that it will receive an additional
1983 CDBG appropriation of $520,000 from the "Jobs Program "; and
WHEREAS, the City has met the citizen participation requirements to obtain
the views of citizens on the City's housing and community development needs; and
'WHEREAS, the City Council has approved the CDBG Final Statement of Objectives
and Activities for the 1983 additional appropriation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO, that:
Section 1.
The City Council hereby authorizes the publication of the City's CDBG Final
Statement of Objectives and Activities for the 1983 additional appropriation.

The City Council hereby declares that the City of Pueblo's Community Development
Program has been developed so as to give maximum feasible priority to activities which
will benefit low- or moderate - income families and aid in the prevention or elimination
of slums and blight.
Section 3.
The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to submit the Final Statement
of Objectives and Activities for the 1983 additional appropriation, together with the
other necessary documentation, including the required assurances, to the U.S. Depart-
ment of Housing and Urban Development for $520,000 in Federal "jobs program" funds
and to affix his signature thereto.
