HomeMy WebLinkAbout5161s ^ t RESOLUTION NO. 5 161 A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PUEBLO, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, AND SELLARDS AND GRIGG, INC., FOR ENGINEERING SER- VICES ASSOCIATED WITH THE PORTLAND AVENUE DRAIN- AGE STUDY BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO, that: CFrTTnN 1 A certain Agreement to perform professional engineering services in the form of a drainage study of a portion of the city's east side, namely the Portland -Ogden drainage basin, a copy of which is attached here- to and made a part hereof by reference, after having been approved as to form by the City Attorney, by and between the City of Pueblo, a Municipal Corporation, and Sellards and Grigg, Inc., a Corporation, 143 Union Blvd., Suite 280, Lakewood, Colorado, be and the same is hereby approved. cGrTTnN 9 The City Manager, Fred E. Weisbrod, is hereby authorized to exe- cute said Agreement on behalf of the City of Pueblo, a Municipal Corpora- tion, and the City Clerk shall affix the seal of the City thereto and at- test the same. Director of Public Works City of Pueblo 211 East "D" Street Pueblo, Colorado 81003 Re: Proposal Agreement - Portland Ogden Storm Drainage Study Dear Mr. Cvar: This letter is our proposal to perform professional engineering services in connection with the Portland -Ogden Storm Drainage Study. The scope of work for this study is as follows: I. Delineate Drainage Basin Boundaries II. Determine Major and Minor Drainage Routes and Patterns III. Ascertain Drainage Problems Affecting: A. Private Property B. Public Rights -of -Way C. Ground Water D. Infiltration of Sanitary Sewers E. Irrigation Facilities IV. Identify Drainage Constraints A. Conduits- Culverts B. Open Channels C. Embankments and Other Barriers V. Identify Drainage Options A. Open Channels B. Storm Sewers C. Detention Ponds VI. Prepare Preliminary Plan VII. Develop Cost Estimates (Construction - Engineering) VIII. Write Report The project site is the natural drainage basin tributary to the intersection of Portland Avenue and Ogden Street in Pueblo, Colorado. Also included in the study area is the route location for storm water disposal to the Arkansas River. Mr. Tom Cvar May 9, 1983 Page Two We propose to perform the services described on an hourly rate basis for various classifications of personnel. Compensation shall be made in accordance with the "General Schedule of Hourly Rates" in effect at the time the work is performed. A copy of the current schedule is attached as Exhibit "A." Exhibit "A" will be modified on January 1 of each year and a Revised Exhibit "A" shall become a part of this agreement. We estimate that the total cost to perform the services described will be approximately $10,000.00. In the event the scope of work should be increased, or if other conditions should arise that would affect this total dollar estimate, the City shall be notified and fees in excess of the estimated amount shall not be charged without approval by the City. All original survey books, notes, calculations, working papers and files generated in the course of the work shall remain the property of Sellards & Grigg, Inc. We estimate that the work may be completed within eight to ten weeks. The engineering fee estimate includes ten copies of the report, however, additional copies may be obtained if requested. We appreciate this opportunity to provide engineering services in connection with the Portland -Ogden Storm Drainage Study.
