RESOLUTION NO. 5075
A RESOLUTION RELATING TO FEES AND CHARGES TO BE PAID
FOR RENTING OF PARK BUILDINGS, PARTICIPATION IN RE-
CREATION ACTIVITIES AND ADMISSION TO SWIMMING POOLS
OPERATED BY THE CITY OF PUEBLO PARKS AND RECREATION
DEPARTMENT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO,
THAT:
SECTION 1. DEFINITIONS
A. "Park Building" shall mean those buildings devoted or designated
by the Parks and Recreation Department to active or passive recreation
or public use on a temporary, assigned basis.
B. "Recreation Activities" shall mean those active or passive
activities designed and created by the Parks and Recreation Department
for use in a park, reservation, zoo, playground, swim pool, recreation
center or facility, golf course, or any other area in the city owned,
rented, or used by the City.
C. "Swimming Pool Admissions" shall be that sum of money required
to be paid in order to be admitted to those swimming pools owned or
operated by the Parks and Recreation Department on a daily basis or
any combination thereof.
D. "instructional Hour" shall be each (60) sixty minutes of
instruction or supervision per activity.
E. "Daily Rental" shall be from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. of the same
day or any other combination not to exceed 10 hours during the same
calendar day.
F. 'Overnight Rental" shall be from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
the next day.
G. "Weekly Rental" shall be from 7:00 a.m. Monday to 10:00 a.m.
Saturday of the same calendar week.
SECTION 2. PARKS AND RECREATION FEES AND CHARGES
A. City Park Pavilion and El Centro de Quinto Sol
1. Each program area
(ie: kitchen, gym con-
ference room, etc....)
$20.00 for the first (3) three
hours & $5.00 for each additional
hour.
B. Pueblo Mountain Park Camp Area
1. Pavilion
$50.00 for the first (4) four
hours, $10.00 for each additional
hour or $100.00 per day

C. 1. Except as listed each individual shall
pay $1.00 per
instructional
hour for each activity that
he or she
enrolls
2. Each individual shall pay registration fees to participate in the
following activities. The activities are, but not limited to:
Tennis Lessons (Session)
Adult

Basketball.
- Summer (Slab)

Playground Program (Session)
Youth -- $2.00
Gymnastics (Session)

Pride City Band -- $50.00

Golf Lessons (Session, Group)

Summer Musical -- $2.00
3. Fees for team sports will be set by the City Manager upon the
recommendation of the Parks and Recreation Director. Those
fees are determined by the number of teams, cost of equip-
ment, rental of facilities, maintenance, lights, and
staff requirements. Those activities are, but not limited
to:
Youth and Adult Basketball
Youth and Adult Baseball
Youth and Adult Football
Youth and Adult Softball
Youth and Adult Volleyball
D. Swimming Pools
1. Daily Fees:
12 years and under $ .75
13 and over $ 1.00
2. Twenty Swim Ticket Cards:
Children 12 & under $ 12.75
13 and over $ 17.00

3. Swimming Lessons (10 -45 minute lessons):
12 & under $ 7.50
13 & over $ 10.00
E. Park Rides - 100, per ride
SECTION 3. JOINT SPONSORED ACTIVITIES
The Pueblo Parks and Recreation Department may jointly sponsor
activities with Pueblo County and other agencies. Such fee, cost and
other expenses shall be shared appropriately.
The City Manager may upon the recommendation of the Parks and
Recreation Director adjust fee to facilitate abnormal or extenuating
circumstances.
SECTION 5. RECISSION OF PREVIOUS RESOLUTIONS
Resolutions No. 3882, 3883, and No. 4757 and approved April 13,
1981 and all other Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
rescnded.
SECTION 6.
This Resolution shall be in effect January 1, 1983 upon approval
and passage.
