HomeMy WebLinkAbout15820RESOLUTION NO. 15820 A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT BY THE MAYOR OF CRYSTAL ESTRADA AND CORINNE KOEHLER TO COMPLETE A FIVE-YEAR TERM ON THE PUEBLO URBAN RENEWAL AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF PUEBLO WHEREAS, Mayor Heather Graham has requested confirmation by the City Council of her appointment of Crystal Estrada and Corinne Koehler to the Pueblo Urban Renewal Authority; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that SECTION 1. The appointment by the Mayor of Crystal Estrada to the Pueblo Urban Renewal Authority to complete a five-year term expiring February 1, 2027, shall be and is hereby confirmed by the City Council. SECTION 2. The appointment by the Mayor of Corinne Koehler to the Pueblo Urban Renewal Authority to complete a five-year term expiring February 1, 2028, shall be and is hereby confirmed by the City Council. SECTION 3. The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with this Resolution to implement the appointments described herein. SECTION 4. This Resolution shall become effective on the date of final action by the Mayor and City Council. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: The Mayor has made appointments to boards and commissions selecting individuals to serve terms which expire during a particular calendar year and presented them to Council for approval. BACKGROUND: Due to the vacancies left by Ralph Williams and Melissa Nereson, there are two appointments available on the Urban Renewal Authority of the City of Pueblo. The Mayor interviewed eleven candidates and appointed Ms. Estrada and Ms. Koehler. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: This is a volunteer committee and members serve without compensation. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: N/A STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: N/A ALTERNATIVES: Remove from the agenda and re-advertise for additional applications. RECOMMENDATION: Approval of the Resolution.
