NO. 3878 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT APPLICATIONS TO THE U.S. BUREAU OF OUTDOOR RECREATION, DEPARTMENT OF INTERIOR, FOR FUNDS AUTHORIZED BY THE LAND AND WATER CONSERVATION FUND ACT OF 1965 WHEREAS, the Land and Water Conservation Fund Act (Public Law 88 -578) became effective January 1, 1965; and WHEREAS, said Act authorizes grants -in -aid to states and their political subdivisions for up to 50% of the cost of acquiring and develop- ing outdoor recreation facilities; and WHEREAS, the City of Pueblo is eligible to apply for funds authorized by said Act; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO, that: SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to submit applications to the U.S. Bureau of Outdoor Recreation, Department of Interior, for the following park projects: Total Cost 1. Far South Park Development - Phase II development of the 7:5 -acre park site bounded by Maryland Ave., Pine St., and I -25 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $ 72,000 2. Hyde Park Acquisition - Acquisition of 5 acres adjacent to the existing park at Hyde Park Elementary School . . . 20,000 3. Hyde Park Development - Development of the additional 5 acres adjacent to Hyde Park Elementary School . . . . . . 40,000 4. Spann Elementary School Park Development - Development of the 3 acres north of the existing park site at Spann Elementary School.. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 50,000 5. Portland and 16th St. Park Development - Development of the 1 -acre site at Portland Ave. and 16th St. . . . . . . 32,000 6. East Side Park Acquisition - Acquisition of by Portland Ave., 19th St. and Highway 50 . 7. East Side Park Development - Development of by Portland Ave., 19th St. and Highway 50 . 8.
