A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF
THE MINIATURE RAILROAD IN THE PUEBLO CITY
PARK
WHEREAS, at the Council work session of April 22, 1975,
the City Council expressed a desire to purchase the miniature
railroad located in Pueblo City Park; and
WHEREAS, Mr. William L. Daney, the owner of said railroad,
has offered to sell all equipment to the City for $15,000; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Daney has offered his services as a consultant
to the City in the operation and maintenance of this railroad; now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO,
that:
SECTION 1.
The Director of Finance is authorized to transfer the
following sum of money:

As a follow tip to oar talk yesterday as to the sale of our miniature railroad is
City Park to the City of Pueblo I have made a list here of the items of the rail-
road. They are as follows:
1 15 inch miniature train consisting of Assortment of engine parts
1 gas driven locomotive, ford motor (tine bleak with crank shaft and pistons
4 gondola care Clutch housing, cylinder head & water pump
1 stock car Gear box and miss. gears
1 caboose Some new and used ball bearings
1 flat work car Track gauge and tamping bars
Approx. 1 ton of used 8 pound rail Approx. 40 pounds of new and used track spikes
and splice bars Approx 50 new ties, creosoted
Track and buildings
Approx. 3/4 miles of track around
lake
One wooden bridge, 60 feet long
one short wooden bridge, 12 feet
long
One concrete station platforms
Ate ticket office
Our asking price for the above is $15,000.
Chain link fence enclosing a two stall engine
house and tracks for cars
One ground throw as switch to second stall
is engine house
One water task
Five parr type benches for station
platform
Considerable work is being done right now on the losomotive engine and trucks.
I would like to offer my services as consultant to the railroad should .the City of
Pueblo take over the railroad should any aperktAnt or maintenance problems arise.
