PROVIDING FOR THE CREATION OF A SPECIAL IMPROVE-
MENT DISTRICT IN THE CITY OF PUEBLO, COLORADO, TO
BE KNOWN AS SPECIAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 75 -7
WHEREAS, any public work or improvement the cost of which is to be
assessed in whole or in part to the property benefited thereby, whether or not re-
quested by property owners affected thereby, may be initiated by the City Council
upon finding that the public health, safety and welfare in addition to benefits to
the property to be assessed, require the building of such improvement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO,
that:
1. The City Council hereby finds, determines and declares that the in-
stallation of a sewer main and incidentals thereto to serve all of LOTS 1 THRU 20,
BOTH iNCLUSiVE, HELLBECK ACRES, is necessary to protect the health and welfare of the
people of the City of Pueblo and the people residing within said proposed district.
2. Said Improvements shall consist of sewer main and incidentals thereto.
3. Said Special Improvement District No. 75 -7 shall consist of the lots
and lands directly benefited by the improvements, and the cost of said improvements
shall be assessed against said property specifically benefited and pursuant to the
Charter and Chapter I, Title 12, of the 1971 Code of Ordinances of said City.
4, The Director of Public Works be, and he is hereby authorized and dir-
ected to proceed with the surveys of those parts and portions of the City of Pueblo
to be Included within the proposed Special Improvement District No. 75 -7 and file in
his office, details of such survey, consisting of the plans and specifications for
the improvements to be constructed and installed in the proposed district showing
exterior boundaries and all streets, avenues, alleys, public p1was, lots and blocks
within the same, his schedule showing the approximate amounts of said cost to be
apportioned to and assessed upon each lot or parcel of land in said district, such
cost to be apportioned to and assessed upon each lot or parcel of land in said
district in proportion to the benefits accruing thereto, all such apportionments
and assessments to be estimated and made in accordance with the provisions of
the Charter and Chapter I of Title 12 of the 1971 Code of Ordinances of said
City.
