PROVIDING FOR THE CREATION OF A SPECIAL IMPROVE-
MENT DISTRICT IN THE CITY OF PUEBLO, COLORADO, TO
BE KNOWN AS SPEC! AL IMPROVEMENT DI StRI CT NO. 7.5i -
WHEREAS„ any public work or improvement, the cost of which is to be ax-
sessed In whole or In part to the property benefited thereby, whether or not recme: bed

WHEREAS, th€? City Cwnc i l of the C i t y of Pueblo has been informed that
the public bealth, safety and welfare require the creation of is Spoclai improvement
Dls*7 iii which there shall be constructed and installed street Improvements and
appurtenances, consisting, generally, of concrete curb and gutter, asphaltic con -
crst� paving, and such other improvements as may be incidental thereto; and
WHEREAS, such Improvements are to be constructed and installed ran and in
streets located in the City of Pueblo, County of Pueblo and State of Cc-foredo, which
strpels ai -e designated as follows:
-i.I East Twenty -first Street from the west gutter line of Ogden Avsnu!: to
the east property line of Mildred Place.
-1.2 East Nineteenth Street from the east gutter line of Norwood Avenue tc
the southwest right -of -way line of U. S. Hwy. #50 By -pass.
-1.3 East Eighteenth Street from the east property line of Queens Avenue to
the west ptter line of Reading Avenue.

WHEREAS, the construction and installation of such improvements will confer
special benefits on the real property within said district and will benefit the prop-
erty abutting upon the streets to be "Improved; and
WHEREAS, the construction and installation of such improvements will confer
general benefits to the City at large; and
WHEREAS, the City of Pueblo will contribute to the payment of ImproVdMents
in accordance with such Resolution establishing and authorizing contributions to
Special Improvement Districts in effect at the time this Resolution is adopted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
1. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the public health,
safety and welfare, in addition to benefits to the property to be assessed, and the
general benefits to the City at large, entirely justify the creation of Pueblo
Special Improvement District No, 75 -1 and the improvements to be constructed and in-
stalled therein, all in full conformity with the Charter and Chapter I of Title 12
of the 1971 Code of Ordinances of said City.
2. Said improvements shall consist of street improvements, and incidentals
thereto, on the streets specified above.
3. Said Special Improvement District No. 75 -1 shall consist of the tots and
lands directly abutting on the streets to be improved, and the cost of said Improve-
ments shall be assessed against said property specifically benefited, and pursuant

to the Charter and Chapter I of Title 12 of the 1971 Code of Ordinances of said City.
4. The Director of Public Works be, and he is hereby authorized and directed
to proceed with surveys of those parts and portions of the City of Pueblo to be in-
cluded within the proposed Special Improvement District No. 75 -I.and file in his
office details of such survey, consisting of the plans and specifications for the
Improvements to be constructed and installed in the proposed district, his estimates
of the cost of such improvements, maps of the proposed district showing exterior
boundaries and all streets, avenues, alleys, public places, lots and blocks within
the same, his schedule showing the approximate amounts of said cost to be apportioned
to and assessed upon each lot or parcel of land in said district, such cost to be
apportioned and assessed upon each lot or parcel in said district in proportion to
the benefits accruing thereto, all such apportionments and assessments to be esti-
mated and made in accordance with the provisions of the Charter and Chapter I of Title
12 of the 1971 Code of Ordinances of said City.

YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that the City Council of the City of Pueblo, Colorado
proposes to create Special Improvement District No. 75 -I. This is the annual
paving district.
(1) The proposed improvements consist of concrete curbs and guttering, as-
phaltic pavement, and miscellaneous items lnclO ntzil t:-r.reto.
(2) This notice is not a bill; vu need not remit payment at this time. The
amounts shown herein are based on an estimate of cost rather than actual costs.
You will be notified at a future date of the actual amount of your assessment.
(3) You may pay the assessment in cash within thirty (30) days after the
final passage of an assessing ordinance, or you may elect to pay by the installment
method as below.
(4) The assessments for said improvements may be paid in ten (10) equal annual
Installments of principal and interest. The interest on the assessment shall be the
interest rate on the bonds issued to finance the construction of the project.
(5) Failure to ln- any such annual installment shall cause the whole of the
unpaid assessment plus interest to become due and payable. Upon issuance of
Treasurer's Certificate of Purchase after default, the interest shall be eighteen
percent (18 %) per annum for the first six (6) months and twelve percent (12%) per
annum thereafter.
(6) The property listed above is contained within this district and an assess-
ment will be made against such property.
(7) The probable cost per frontage foot shall be $
(8) A public hearing shall be held by the City Council at 7:30 P. M. on the
9th day of June, 1975, on the proposed improvement district, details and specifica-
tions therefor, and the amount of the estimated assessments. At said time and
place an ordinance authorizing the improvements will be considered.
(9) All maps, estimates, resolutions and schedules showing the approximate
amounts to be assessed, and all resolutions and proceedings are on file, and can be
seen by any interested person at the office of the Director of Public Works, 211
East "D" Street, phone number 543 -2860.
(10) All complaints and objections that may be made IN WRITING to the Cr)uncII
and filed with the City Clerk on or bcJc-e `_ - ne , S, 1975, concerning the proposed
improvements by the owners of any real Esta'o to be ar.._" ° ^ ed, will be heard and
determt'ned by the Council before final action thereon.
