A RESOLUTION FINDING SUBSTANTIAL COMPLIANCE
WITH C.R.S. 1963, 139- 21 -6(1) OF THE PETITION
FOR ANNEXATION OF THE TERRITORY COMMONLY KNOWN
AND DESCRIBED AS THE NORTH SIDE OF THE 4000
BLOCK COLORADO STATE HIGHWAY NO. 76
WHEREAS, a petition for annexation of the territory described
in Section l hereof has been filed with the City Clerk;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO, that:
SECTION 1.
The Petition for Annexation of the following described territory
situated in Pueblo County, Colorado, is hereby found and determined to be
in substantial complissca with the provisions of C.R.S., 1963, 139.21 -6(1)
as amended:
A parcel of land being a portion of Blocks 1 and 10, and
certain street$ and alleys adjacent thereto, in Columbia
Heights, being Wilson'& Subdivision of the SE'* of Section
9, Twp. 21 S., R. 65 W. of the 6th P.M., according to the
recorded plat thereof, and being more particularly de=ribed
as follows:
Commencing at the East one - quarter corner of said Section
9; thence South along the East line of said Section 9, a
distance of 227.50 feet to the northerly line of Colorado
State Highway No. 76; thence Southwesterly along the said
Northerly line of Colorado State Highway No. 76, a distance
of 417.25 feet to the True Point of Beginning of the herein
described parcel of land; said point also being on the
present City Limits Line; thence southeasterly at right
angles to said northerly line of Colorado State Highway No.
76, to the southerly line of said Colorado State Highway
No. 76; thence southwesterly along said southerly line,
a distance of 253.40 feet; thence Northwesterly, at right
angles to said southerly line of Colorado State Highway No.
76, to said Northerly line of Colorado State Highway No. 76;
thence Northerly, parallel with the East line of said Section
9, a distance of 513.40 feet; thence Easterly at right angles,
• distance of 200.00 feet; thence Southerly at right angles,
• distance of 357.80 feet to the True Point of Beginning,
containing 2.9 acres, more or less.
SECTION 2.
A public hearing to determine whether said proposed annexation
complies with the appropriate provisions of C.R.S. 1963, 139 -21 -3 and
139 - 21-4, as amended, or such parts thereof as may be required to establish
eligibility under the provisions of the "Municipal Annexation Act of 1965"
shall be held on Monday, April 28, 1975, commencing at 7:30 o'clock p.m.
or as soon thereafter as Council business allows.
