PROVIDING FOR THE CREATION OF A SPECIAL IMPROVE-
MENT DISTRICT IN THE CiTY OF PUEBLO, COLORADO, TO
BE KNOWN AS SPECIAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 75--2
WHEREAS, any public work or improvement, the cost of which is to be
assessed in whole or in part to the property benefited thereby, may be initiated
by the City Council upon finding that the public health, safety and welfare in
additinn'to benefits to the property to be assessed, require the construction of
such improvements; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Pueblo has been informed that
the public health, safety and welfare require the creation of a Special improve-
ment District in which there shalt be constructed and installed street improvements
and appurtenances, consisting, generally, of concrete curb and gutter, asphaltic
concrete paving, and such other improvements as may be incidental thereto; and
WHEREAS, such improvements are to be constructed and installed on and
in streets located in the City of Pueblo, County of Pueblo and State of Colorado,
which streets are designated as follows:

-1.1 East Seventeenth Street from the west property line of Beaumont Avenue
to a point 200.6 feet West of said West property line.
-1.2 East Fourteenth Street from the West property line of Beaumont Avenue
to a point 200.9 feet West of said West property line.
si.3 East Fourteenth Street from the East gutter line of Beaumont Avenue
to the West gutter line of Clovis Avenue.
•-1.4 East Thirteenth Street from the East gutter line of Amarillo Avenue
to the West property line of Beaumont Avenue.

WHEREAS, the construction and installation of such Improvements will
confer special benefits on the real property within said district and will bene-
fit the property abutting upon the streets to be improved; and
WHEREAS, the construction and installation of such improvements will
confer general benefits to the City at large; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the City of Pueblo shall
contribute seventy -five percent (75%) to the payment of such improvements;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
1. The City Councii hereby finds and determines that the public health,
safety and welfare, in addition to benefits to the property to be assessed, and the

genera! benefits to the City at lerge, entirely justify the creation of Pueblo
Special Improvement District No. 75 -2 and the improvements to be constructed and
Installed therein, all in full conformity with the Charter and Chapter I of Title
12 of the 1971 Code of Ordinances of said City.
2. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the petitions for
the creation of said Pueblo Special Improvement District No. 75 -2, and for the im-
provements to be constructed and installed upon the streets described In said peti-
tions, are in full conformity with the Charter and Chapter I of Title 12 of the
1971 Code of Ordinances of said City, are subscribed by the owners of a majority
of the frontage directly abutting on each part or portion of the streets to be im-
proved and described in said petitions and to be assessed for the improvements de-
scribed in said petitions, and that said petitions be accepted and filed as part
of the records of the City of Pueblo, Colorado.
3, Said Improvements shall consist of street improvements, and inciden-
tals thereto, on the streets specified above.
4. Said Pueblo Special improvement District No. 75 -2 shall consist of
the lots and lands directly abutting on the streets to be improved, and the cost
of said improvements shall be assessed against sold property specifically benefited,
and pursuant to the Charter and Chapter 1 of Title 12 of the 1971 Code of Ordinances
of said City.
5. The Director of Public Works be, and he is hereby authorized and
directed to proceed with surveys of those parts and portions of the City of Pueblo
to be included within the proposed Pueblo Special Improvement District No. 75 -2,
and that he file with the City Clerk details of such survey, consisting of the
plans and specifications for the improvements to be constructed and installed in
the proposed district, his estimates of the cost of such improvements, maps of the
proposed district showing exterior boundaries and all streets, avenues, alleys,
public places, lots and blocks within the same, his schedule showing the approx-
imate amounts of said cost to be apportioned to and assessed upon each lot or
parcel of land in said district in proportion to the benefits accruing thereto,
all such apportionments and assessments to be estimated and made In accordance with
the provisions of the Charter and Chapter 1 of Title 12 of the 1971 Code of Ordinances
of said City.
