A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PUEBLO CITY -
COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT COMPENSATION
PLAN DATED DECEMBER 7 1955
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
The compensation plan dated December 7, 1955, attached hereto
and made a part of this resolution is hereby approved upon the condition
that the plan is also approved by the Board of County Commissioners
of Pueblo.

EXplanation of Compensation Plan
All employees will be hired at the entrance rate. At °the end of the,
six months probationary period, the employee will be' granted the j step :
rate. The employee will be eligible for the Stel I salary one year from
his day.of employment. The employee will be elibigle for Steps 2, 3 and
4 at one year intervals. The increases will not be automatic, but will
be based on merit. The Health Officer will recommend salary increases
to the Board of Health. The Board of Health can approve sr:lary increase::
up to and including Step 4.
Step 4 will be considered the maximum salary. Steps 5 and 6 are salary 90
increases for special meritorious s rvice. In order for an employee to
advance to'these steps, approval must be granted by the City Council and
the Board of County'Commissioners. The Health Officer and Board of Health
must submit justification that the employee has demonstrated exceptional
merit.
An employee must have been on Step 4 for at least two years before being
considered, for Step 5, and on Step 5 for three years before advancement
to step,6,
