HomeMy WebLinkAbout171aRESOLUTION NO. 171 a WHEREAS, the City Hospital of Pueblo needs some employee of the City in charge of the same as a superintendent thereof, and WHEREAS, the public service so requires and the Council of Pueblo deems it necessary that the position of Superintendent of the City Hospital be created and that some competent person be appointed as such Superintendent. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By THE COUNCIL OF PUEBLO: That the public service requires and that the Council of Pueblo deems it necessary that the position of Superintendent of the City Hospital be and the same hereby is created, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Superintendent of the City Hospital shall be a reputable physician and surgeon in practice in Pueblo, a qualified elector, and shall have had at least five years experience in general practice as a physician and surgeon in the State of Colorado. The Superintendent shall have general charge and control of the City Hospital of Pueblo. He shall do and perform the duties usually required of and incident to such a position. During the time be is employed as Superintendent, he shall not engage in private practice; but the work as examiner of any insurance company shall not be construed as engaging in private practice. The Superintendent shall be appointed for such period of time as may be determined by the Council, not exceeding four years at any one time. He shall be paid as a salary as such superintendent the sum of Thirteen Hundred and Twenty ($1320.00) Dollars per year, payable monthly. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the position of Superintendent of the City Hospital shall not be included in the classified civil service of Pueblo, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Dr. W. E. Buck be, and he hereby is appointed as Superintendent of the City Hospital of Pueblo until January 1 1928. Introduced Jan. 5, 1925 By John Jackson
