That whereas, by an amendment to the Charter of Pueblo, adopted in November, 1919, for the
purpose of increasing the compensation of public officials and employees of the City of Pueblo and thereby
aiding them in meeting the increased cost of living, it was intended that all officials and employees, except day

established, and
WHEREAS, some question has arisen in regard to the application of such increase to the
members of the Board of Trustees of Pueblo Water Works and to the members of the Board of Public Water
Works District No. 2, and whereas, it was in the opinion of the Council intended that the members of said
boards should also receive such an increase of compensation and whereas, it is desirable that the fact of the
application of the said increase for the members of said boards shoulder be made in some proper manner, a
matter of record in the proceedings or records of said boards, and

of the Water Districts above referred to, to regulate the amount of salaries of officers for said district, is in
doubt, and it is advisable that the City Council by appropriate resolution affirm such action made by the officers
of said Water Districts, NOW, THEREFORE,
