BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF PUEBLO:
The City Clerk of the City of Pueblo is hereby directed to prepare Notice of Bond
Election to be held in Public Park Improvement District No. 2 of to City of Pueblo,
in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1043. Said notice shall b e
published daily in the Pueblo Star - Journal for a period of at least ten days prior to
said election and shall be in form as follow, to -wit;
PUBLIC NOTICE
OF
REFUNDING BOND ELECTION
IN
PUBLIC PARK IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 2.
PUBLIC NOTICE IS hereby given pursuant to the
provisions of the Constitution and Laws of the State of Color-
ado, and the Charter of the City of Pueblo, that at the
General City Election to be held on Nov ember 4, 1919,
there will be submitted to a vote of the qualified tax paying electors
of Public Park Improvement District No. 2 within the City of pueblo ,
the question as to whether or
not there shall be issued REFUNDING BONDS for the purpose of
refunding the bonded indebtedness in said district in the amount of
$173,000.00, according to the terms of
Ordinance No. 1043 of the City of Pueblo. Said bonds, if
authorized by the vote of the tax paying electors within said district,
shall be in n the amount of $173,000.00; shall bear interest at the
rate of 5 %, payable semi - annually; shall be payable at the option of
the City of Pueblo ten years after date and absolutely due and
payable twenty years after date ; shall be in denomination of
$1,000.00 each; shall not be sold or exchanged for less than their
par value , and shall be paid, both principal and interest , by funds
derived by special levy upon all the taxable pro property within
Public Park Improvement District No. 2. Said election upon the
question of issuing such refunding
bonds shall be by separate ballot, on which ballot shall be printed
the words "For Refunding Public Park Improvement District ho. 2
Indebtedness ", and "Against Refunding Public Park Improvement
District No. 2 Indebtedness ", with a space
opposite each group of words in which the voter may make a cross
mark to express his choice.
The form of said bonds shall be prescribed by resolution of
the Council of the City of Pueblo. The election for voting upon the
issuance of said bonds will be held in the several City election
precincts of the City of Pueblo in said Park Districts at the same
time and places as the General City Election for the election of City
officers to be held on said day; and the polls will be open for voting
on said question from seven o'clock A.M. to seven o'clock P.M.
The several polling places in the City of Pueblo, at which the said
election will be held are as follows:
Precinct 19 -- Employment Office, 105 West "C" street.
Precinct 20 -- Barber shop. (N. J. Radovich), 711 East "B" street.
Precinct 21 -- Carlile School House.
Precinct 22 -- Mrs. Frank Miles, 202 Van Buren.
Precinct 2 3 -- Mrs. Elizabeth Engle
215 West Abriendo Avenue.
Precinct 24 -- Water Works Office, 119 East Abriendo Avenue.
Precinct 25 -- O. F. Tisdale, 1035 Cedar Street.
Precinct 26 -- Mr. Borden, 853 1/2 East Abriendo Avenue.
Precinct 27 -- Mrs. T. J. Hickey, 46 Block W. "'
Precinct 28 -- Barber shop (Krist Bozulich, prop.),
219 East Northern Avenue.
Precinct 29 -- Bessemer City Hall.
Precinct 30 — Mrs. R. E. Rogers, 908 East Route Avenue.
Precinct 31 -- Mrs. George H. Buchanan, 1425 Orman Avenue.
Precinct 32 -- S. & S. Service Station, G. A. Shoemaker, 1007 West
Northern Avenue
Precinct 33 — J. R. Brodie, 1027 Claremont Avenue.
Precinct 34 — Mrs. J.T. Mathews, 839 Van Buren Avenue.
Precinct 35 — Minnequa Greenhouses, 1407 Berkeley Avenue.
