BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF PUEBLO:
Section 1. That the office of Chief Mechanician is hereby created.
Section 2. The chief mechanician shall have charge of the City Shops and the
machinery, supplies and tools in said shops, except the supplies and tools in the office
and tool room of the Highway Department.
Section 3. It shall be his duty, at stated intervals, to inspect the automobiles,
motorcycles, bicycles and machinery of every kind and description belonging to any of
the city departments and to report their condition to the heads of the proper
departments with any recommendations he may deem proper.
Section 4. Whenever any of the apparatus mentioned in the preceeding section
is in need of repair it shall be turned over to the Chief Mechanician and he shall have
complete charge of the same, until it is ready for service again. .
Section 5. The head of any department, having apparatus in the shop for repairs,
shall when requested by the Chief Mechanician detail a suitable man from his
department to assist in making such repairs.
Section 6. The entire shop, except two stalls for the use of the automobile
sprinklers and the office and the oil and tool room of the Highway Department, shall be
in charge of the Chief Mechanician at all times, and no apparatus shall be placed in the
shop, either for storage or for repairs, without an order from him.
Section 7. The City Clerk is instructed to furnish a certified copy of these
resolutions to the head of each department and two copies, to be posted in conspicuous
places in the shop, to the Chief Mechanician.
