HomeMy WebLinkAbout08172ORDINANCE NO. 8172 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 5 OF TITLE VI OF THE PUEBLO MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO CLASSIFICATION AND PAY RANGE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: (brackets indicate matter being deleted, underscoring indicates new matter being added) SECTION 1 Section 6 -5 -16 of Chapter 5, Title VI of the Pueblo Municipal Code, as amended, is hereby amended to read as follows: Sec. 6 -5 -16. Schedule; classification, work week and monthly salary. The following shall constitute: (1) The classification and pay range for all bargaining unit employees of the City, effective January 1, 2010. (2) The classification and pay range for all nonbargaining unit employees of the City, effective January 1, 2010. (3) The pay range for all unclassified employees of the City, effective January 1, 2010. CITY OF PUEBLO MONTHLY SALARY SCHEDULE 2010 [DEPUTY CITY ATTORNEY 8,876.96 10,416.66] SECTION 2 This Ordinance shall become effective upon final passage and approval. Florczak, Interim City Attorney Dave Anderson, Interim Human Resources Director TITLE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 5 OF TITLE VI OF THE PUEBLO MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO CLASSIFICATION AND PAY RANGE ISSUE Should City Council approve the amendment to §6 -5 -16 of the Pueblo Municipal Code deleting salary references for the Deputy City Attorney position? Approve the ordinance. BACKGROUND This conforms the salary schedule in Title VI of the Pueblo Municipal Code to the counterpart amendment to the staffing Ordinance eliminating the position of Deputy City Attorney. FINANCIAL IMPACT As noted in the Background Memorandum for the Staffing Ordinance amendment, cost savings may be anticipated by eliminating this position and adding an additional Assistant City Attorney position.
