Florczak, Interim City Attorney Dave Anderson, Interim Human Resources Director TITLE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2010 STAFFING ORDINANCE INVOLVING THE LAW DEPARTMENT ISSUE Should City Council approve the proposed Ordinance eliminating the position of Deputy City Attorney and adding another Assistant City Attorney position? Approve the ordinance. BACKGROUND Currently, Mr. Florczak is serving as Interim City Attorney, but holds the position of Deputy City Attorney, resulting in a vacancy in the Law Department. With the appointment of Mr. Florczak to City Attorney, his former position may be eliminated and replaced by an Assistant City Attorney at a lower salary. The anticipated annual cost savings with this change would range from $31,500 to $50,000. FINANCIAL IMPACT See Background.
