HomeMy WebLinkAbout08141ORDINANCE NO. 8141 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF $80,000 FROM THE AIRPORT IMPROVEMENT TRUST FUND, ESTABLISHING CAPITAL PROJECTS AP1001- BOARDING RAMP ADA AND AP1002- CONCOURSE /LOBBY REMODEL AND BUDGETING AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $40,000 TO EACH PROJECT WHEREAS, the purchase of an ADA boarding ramp and the remodel of the concourse /lobby area of the airport will meet the needs of the traveling public; and WHEREAS, the FAA has determined that these projects are acceptable use of land sale revenues; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: cFCTTnN 1 Capital Project AP1001- Boarding Ramp ADA and Capital Project AP1002- Concourse/Lobby Remodel are hereby established and funds in the amount of $40,000 shall be transferred from the Airport Improvement Trust Fund to Capital Project AP1001- Boarding Ramp ADA and funds in the amount of $40,000 shall be transferred from the Airport Improvement Trust Fund to Capital Project AP1002- Concourse /Lobby Remodel. SECTION 2. Funds in the amount of $40,000 are hereby budgeted and appropriated for Capital Project AP1001 and funds in the amount of $40,000 are hereby budgeted and appropriated for Capital Project AP1002. RECOMMENDATION Approval of this Ordinance. BACKGROUND In order to meet the needs of the traveling public and the possibility of increased usage of the airport, the purchase of an ADA boarding ramp and the remodel of the concourse /lobby area of the airport are necessary. The FAA has agreed that these projects are acceptable use of land sale revenues. FINANCIAL IMPACT Funds in the amount of $40,000 will be transferred from the Airport Improvement Trust Fund and placed in Capital Project AP1001- Boarding Ramp ADA and funds in the amount of $40,000 will be transferred from the Airport Improvement Trust Fund and placed in Capital Project AP1002- Concourse /Lobby Remodel. The current balance of the Airport Improvement Trust Fund is $107,454. After the transfer of these funds, it will be $27,454.
