AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING CAPITAL PROJECT NO.
PL0904, CITY HALL INTERIOR RENOVATION, AND
BUDGETING AND APPROPRIATING $200,000
THEREFOR
WHEREAS, it is a goal of the Pueblo City Council modernize City facilities and
infrastructure;
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO. that:
SECTION 1.
Capital Project No. PL0904, City Hall Interior Renovation, is hereby established
in the Planning Grants Special Revenue Fund, and all expenditures related to the City
Hall Interior Renovation shall be made therefrom.
SECTION 2.
The amount of $200,000 is hereby authorized to be transferred to this project
from the interest earnings of the 1992 — 2011 Sales & Use Tax Capital Improvement
Projects Fund. Said funds are hereby budgeted and appropriated in Project PL0904.
SECTION 3.
This Ordinance shall be effective upon the date of final passage.

RENOVATION, AND BUDGETING AND APPROPRIATING $200,000 THEREFOR
RECOMMENDATION
Approval of this Ordinance.
BACKGROUND
This Ordinance will establish the City Hall Interior Renovation project and provide funds in the
amount of $200,000 for preliminary costs associated with the project. The funds will be
transferred from the interest earnings from the 1992 — 2011 Sales & Use Tax Capital
Improvement Projects Fund. This project will address the goal of modernizing City Hall facilities
and utilizing the third floor of the building. The $200,000 will begin the preliminary tasks of
demolition of the third floor, architectural design, and an abatement study. The entire renovation
project is estimated to cost $1,923,000 and will include the installation of a new ADA compliant
elevator for the building, construction of 3,800 square feet of office space, finish of 3,800 square
feet in the Council Chambers, construction of new restrooms, construction of a second exiting
stairway from the third floor to the existing stairway, installation of new HVAC system and fire
protection.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The total cost of this project is estimated to be $1,923,000. Funds are anticipated to be received
from the following sources:
$200,000 Interest Earnings from '/z cent tax fund
$420,000 New Energy Communitites
$416,000 Energy Efficiency Community Block Grant
$406,000 CDBG -ARRA funds for ADA improvements
$481,000 To be Determined
1,923,000 Total Project
