HomeMy WebLinkAbout15772RESOLUTION NO. 15772 A RESOLUTION APPOINTING COUNCILOR MARK ALIFF TO THE FOUNTAIN CREEK WATERSHED FLOOD CONTROL & GREENWAY DISTRICT GOVERNING BOARD WHEREAS, on February 26, 2024, City Council confirmed the appointment of Joe Latino to the Fountain Creek Watershed Flood Control & Greenway District Governing Board for a one- year term expiring January 31, 2025; and WHEREAS, Councilor Latino has since resigned from this position; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that SECTION 1. Councilor Mark Aliff is hereby appointed to the Fountain Creek Watershed Flood Control & Greenway District Governing Board for a term expiring January 31, 2025. SECTION 2. The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with this Resolution to implement the appointment described herein. SECTION 3. This Resolution shall become effective on the date of final action by and City Council. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: Resolution No. 15522, section 4, dated February 26, 2024 appointed Councilor Joe Latino to the Fountain Creek Watershed Flood Control & Greenway District Governing Board. Councilor Latino has resigned from this position. BACKGROUND: Annual appointments are made assigning a City Council representative to serve on Boards and Commissions where it is either required by legislation that a Council Member be a member, or it has been the policy to have a Council Member serve on a particular Board or Commission. The existing appointee, Joe Latino, has resigned from this position, requiring a new appointment. Councilor Flores will remain the alternate designee. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: None. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: None. STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: None. ALTERNATIVES: City Council has the option of appointing a member of City Council other than Mr. Aliff to the Board. RECOMMENDATION: Approval of the Resolution. ATTACHMENTS: None
