TITLE
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 6 AND 15 OF CHAPTER 10 OF TITLE XVII
OF THE PUEBLO MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO HIGH RISE SIGN DISTRICT
NUMBER 5
ISSUE
Should the City Council amend Sections 6 and 15 of Chapter 10 of Title XVII of the
Pueblo Municipal Code relating to High Rise Sign District Number 5?
RECOMMENDATION
The Planning and Zoning Commission, at their February 11, 2009 Regular Meeting,
voted 6 -1 to recommend approval.
BACKGROUND
On May 12, 2008, City Council approved and put into effect Ordinance 7798, amending
Section 17 -10 -52 of the PMC, generally relating to signs. The Ordinance erred in
removing the provision allowing 300 square foot, 65 feet tall high rise signs along 1 -25.
This Ordinance restores District 5 of Appendix A in its entirety for freestanding "high
rise" signs on properties fronting on Interstate 25 generally between Highway 50 and
29 Street.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
None.
