SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING $903.20 TO PROJECT NO. HO1650
FOR SEWER REPAIRS AND RELATED RESTORATION TO NANCY'S
PLACE YOUTH TRANSITIONAL HOUSING AT 2105 NORMAN LN. THE
FUNDS SHALL BE TRANSFERRED FROM PROJECT NO. HO2150
SUMMARY:
This Resolution transfers money from prior projects into Project No. HO1650 for sewer
repairs and related damage restoration. The funding will partially offset expenses
related to a sewer backup in the facility. HUD has authorized up to $3,000 of additional
funding for the project. The project account currently has a balance of $2,097.80.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
Council approved Resolution 13629 renovating a property donated by the Jackson
Family in the name of Nancy Jackson to establish housing for youth exiting foster care.
BACKGROUND:
The facility was renovated by Posada Inc. and is owned and operated by Posada Inc.
Posada Inc. operating as a Community Housing Development Organization renovated
the property in 2017. Seven single-room occupancy units were created with a shared
kitchen and living space. During the month of August several attempts to clear the
sewer were made to no avail. Upon further investigation, mold was discovered.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
The Resolution transfers funds from prior year projects to Project No. HO1650.

ALTERNATIVES:
Council could elect not to transfer the funds; the funds would be returned to HUD on
September 26, 2024.
RECOMMENDATION:

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that

into Project No. HO1650 for sewer and r
Housing located at 2105 Norman Ln.
SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent
with the intent of this Resolution which are necessary or desirable to implement the transactions
described herein.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval.
