AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 7672 ADOPTING A
COMPREHENSIVE MASTER PLAN FOR THE PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT OF
PUEBLO, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION
ISSUE
Should City Council amend the City's Comprehensive Master Plan to revise the Future
Land Use Map by expanding an Employment Center — Industry area to provide for
several potential job creating economic development projects?
RECOMMENDATION
The Planning and Zoning Commission at their August 13, 2008 Regular Meeting voted
6 -0 to recommend approval of the amendment.
BACKGROUND
The nature of the proposed map amendment to the Comprehensive Plan revises the

City's limits, east of Interstate 25, and extending south to Lime Road in order to provide
for several potential job creating economic development projects. City staff and Pueblo
Economic Development Corporation representatives are working on plans to upgrade
roadway, heavy rail, water, sanitary sewer and other infrastructure in this area to
establish a new corridor to locate industries oriented towards national markets.
