AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE WALKING STICK VISTA PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT

RESIDENCES WITH FRONT LOADED GARAGES WITHIN PLANNING AREA TWO
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
The Walking Stick Vista Planned Unit Development Guide is hereby amended by the
addition of the attached Text Amendment No. 1 adding Section 9.2.1 that expressly allows the
construction of attached, single - family residences with front loaded garages in Lot 1, Block 5,
Walking Stick Vista, Filing No. 1.
SECTION 2.
This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon final passage and approval.

ISSUE
Shall City Council approve a request to amend the Walking Stick Vista Planned Unit
Development Guide to insert Section 9.2.1 that would allow attached single - family
residences with front loaded garages within Planning Area Two?
The Planning and Zoning Commission, at their June 11, 2008 Regular Meeting, voted
6 -0 to recommend approval.
BACKGROUND
The applicant is requesting to amend the Walking Stick Vista Planned Unit
Development Guide in order to allow attached single - family residences with front
loaded garages within Planning Area Two. Section 9.2 of the Walking Stick Vista
Planned Unit Development Guide states that lots 40 to 59 feet wide are intended for
alley loaded detached single - family homes, precluding the proposed development. The
proposed PUD amendment adds Section 9.2.1, which expressly allows the construction
of attached, single - family residences with front loaded garages in Lot 1, Block 5,
Walking Stick Vista, Filing No. 1.
