The project will provide needed historic background information regarding the East Side, generate information that will help with landmark nominations, stimulate neighborhood pride, and provide information for further historic preservation efforts in an understudied portion of the City. The result of the project will be a scholarly history of the neighborhood and planning document to help guide future preservation and planning decisions. The study will be made available to the public. FINANCIAL IMPACT Administration of the grant will be the only fiscal impact. No local grant match is required.
