TITLE
AN ORDINANCE AWARDING A CONTRACT IN THE AMOUNT OF $27,880 TO
PPP ROOFING FOR THE EMERGENCY REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF
THE CONCRETE HANGAR ROOF AT PUEBLO MEMORIAL AIRPORT AND
APPROPRIATING AND AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS FROM THE
CUSTOMER DEPOSITS FUND TO THE 2008 AIRPORT FUND FOR PAYMENT
THEREOF
ISSUE
Should City Council award a contract to PPP Roofing for the emergency removal and
replacement of the concrete hangar roof at Pueblo Memorial Airport and appropriate and
authorize the transfer of funds.
RECOMMENDATION
Approval of this Ordinance.
BACKGROUND
The concrete hangar is owned by the City of Pueblo and is currently being leased to Steel
City Aviation for their flight school. The roof of the hangar needs to be removed and
replaced. Bids were requested, received and reviewed and PPP Roofing's bid was the
lowest bid determined to be responsible.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
In years past, monies received from the aviation fuel tax were kept in the Customer
Deposits Fund and must be used for aviation purposes. There are sufficient funds
available on deposit for this project. The amount of $27,880 will be transferred from the
Customer Deposits Fund to the 2008 Airport Fund.
