ISSUE
Should the number of eligibles certified from the Firefighter entry-level eligibility list be
changed from five (5) to twenty (20)?

Due to the recent success of entry-level firefighter recruitments for the Fire Department, it
has been determined by the Fire Chief, Acting Human Resources Director and the City

(20). However, on January 1, 2008 the amending Ordinance 7217 was automatically
repealed and Pueblo Municipal Code was returned to its prior language. This Ordinance
will extend the rule of twenty (20) to January 1, 2011.
RECOMMENDATION
Approval of the Ordinance.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
None: This Ordinance will reinstate the previous changes of the number of certified names
that Human Resources will receive from the Civil Service Commission regarding entry level
Firefighters.
