TITLE
AN ORDINANCE VACATING THE EXISTING DRAINAGE EASEMENT LOCATED
BETWEEN LOTS 4 & 5, BLOCK 52, EL CAMINO SUBDIVISION, 17 FILING
ISSUE
Shall City Council approve the proposed vacation of the existing drainage easement in
order to facilitate a change in the property dimensions?
RECOMMENDATION
The Planning and Zoning Commission, at their November 14, 2007, regular meeting,
voted 7 -0 to recommend approval.
BACKGROUND
The owners of the subject properties propose to vacate the existing drainage easement
located between lots 4 & 5 to facilitate a change in property dimensions. A home has
been constructed on lot 4, and a garage built on the lot line between Lots 4 & 5. The
owners are proposing to move the lot lines to allow for lot 5 to be developed as an
individual parcel. This requires that the current drainage easement be vacated and
realigned to match the proposed new lot line.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
None.
