AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A GRANT AGREEMENT # CO -90- X159 -00 BETWEEN PUEBLO,
A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, AND THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, AUTHORIZING THE
PRESIDENT OF CITY COUNCIL TO EXECUTE THE SAME AND AUTHORIZING THE
ACCEPTANCE OF THE GRANT AWARD AND TO MAKE, EXECUTE AND DELIVER IN THE
NAME OF THE CITY OF PUEBLO FISCAL YEAR 2007 CERTIFICATIONS AND ASSURANCES
FOR FEDERAL TRANSIT ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS AND
APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
The Grant Agreement # CO -90- X159 -00 between the City of Pueblo, a Municipal
Corporation and the United States of America, Department of Transportation, Federal Transit
Administration for the purpose of subsidizing Pueblo Transit's operational expenses, the "Project ",
a copy of which is attached hereto, having been approved as to form by the City Attorney, is
hereby approved.
SECTION 2_
The President of City Council is hereby authorized to execute said Grant Agreement on
behalf of Pueblo, a Municipal Corporation, and the City Clerk shall affix the Seal of the City to the
Grant Agreement and attest the same.
SECTION 3
The President of City Council is authorized to make, execute and deliver in the name of the
City of Pueblo, Federal Fiscal Year 2007 Certifications and Assurances for Federal Transit
Administration Assistance Programs which are attached hereto and to bind the City of Pueblo's
compliance therewith.

Should the City Council enter into a Grant Agreement with the United States of America
to accept the Federal Transit Administration Grant Award # CO -90- X159 -00 in the
amount of $1,559,196 for FY 2007 Transit Operating expenditures

BACKGROUND
The City has been allocated a Federal Operating Grant # CO -904159 -00 FY 2007,
funding in the amount of $1,559,196. These funds are intended to subsidize Pueblo
Transit's operating expenses incurred during this fiscal year.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The anticipated total project cost is $3,118,392. The Federal share is $1,559,196
and the local match, approved in the FY 2007 Pueblo Transit budget, is
$1,561,000.
