TITLE
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 16 OF TITLE VI, CHAPTER 5, OF THE
PUEBLO MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO CLASSIFICATION AND PAY
PLAN (2007) BY ADDING THE NEW POSITION OF ASSOCIATE FIELD
ENGINEER
ISSUE
Should the Public Works Department be authorized to add the position of
Associate Field Engineer the Classification and Pay Plan for 2007 in order to
meet the current needs of the department?
RECOMMENDATION
The Ordinance be approved.
The Director of Public Works and the Acting Human Resources Director have
determined that the needs of the Public Works Department will best be met by
amending the Classification and Pay Plan to include the new classification of
Associate Field Engineer. There is a need for a new classification because in
addition to the duties of the Construction Inspector, the Associate Field Engineer
will be responsible for construction inspection of major Public Works projects
including assisting the Construction Engineer with the review and record keeping
of commercial site plans for building permits and certificates of occupancy.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
None, this ordinance only adds a classification to the existing salary ordinance
