HomeMy WebLinkAbout07636ORDINANCE NO. 7636 AN ORDINANCE CHANGING ZONING RESTRICTIONS FROM 1 -3 (COUNTY) TO 1 -3 (CITY) COVERING A PARCEL OF LAND COMMONLY KNOWN AS 32920 WALT BASSETT AVENUE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. The zoning restrictions covering the following described property be changed from 1 -3 (County), Heavy Industrial District to 1 -3 (City), Heavy Industrial District, and upon passage of this ordinance, zoning restrictions affecting 1 -3 (City), Heavy Industrial District, shall apply to said property: Parcel A, Subdivision Exemption No. 96 -03 and Lot 53, Pueblo Memorial Airport Industrial Park Subdivision, located within a portion of the southwest' /4 of the northeast' /4 and within a portion of the northwest' /4 of the southeast' /4 of Section 30, Township 20 South, Range 63 West of the Sixth Principal Meridian, and more commonly known as: 32920 Walt Bassett Avenue. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon final passage and approval. PACHECO TITLE AN ORDINANCE CHANGING ZONING RESTRICTIONS FROM 1 -3 (COUNTY) TO: I -3 (CITY) COVERING A- PARCEL OF LAND COMMONLY KNOWN AS 32920 WALT BASSETT AVENUE ISSUE Shall,City Council approve a request to rezone the property from 1 -3 (County), Heavy Industrial District, to 1- 3�(City), Heavy Industrial District, to fulfill a condition of annexation to operate an Immigration and Naturalization (INS) processing facility adjacent to Pueblo Memorial Airport? RECOMMENDATION The Planning and Zoning Commission, at their July 11, 2007 regular meeting, voted 7 -0 to recommend approval. BACKGROUND The current use of land is for metal fabrication and the United States Department of Immigration and Naturalization Services (INS). The applicant is requesting to zone the property in order to comply with the condition of annexation of the property into the City of Pueblo. The applicant does not propose any new development at this time. FINANCIAL IMPACT None.
