ORDINANCE NO. 7568
AN ORDINANCE CHANGING ZONING RESTRICTIONS FROM R -3 TO B -2 COVERING A
PARCEL OF LAND COMMONLY KNOWN AS 1238 AND 1240 LAKE AVENUE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
The zoning restrictions covering the following described property be changed from
R -3, One and Two Family Residential District to B -2, Subregional Business District, and
upon passage of this ordinance, zoning restrictions affecting B -2, Subregional Business
District, shall apply to said property:
Lots 21, 22 and 23, Block 9, College Hill Subdivision Filing No. 2
and more commonly known as:
1238 and 1240 Lake Avenue.

This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon final passage and
approval.

COVERING PARCELS OF LAND COMMONLY KNOWN AS 1238 AND 1240

ISSUE
Shall City Council approve a request to rezone the property from R -3, One and
Two - Family Residential District, to B -2, Subregional Business District, in order to
construct an office building?
RECOMMENDATION
The Planning and Zoning Commission, at their December 13, 2006 regular
meeting, voted 6 -0 to recommend approval.
BACKGROUND
The applicant proposes rezoning the subject property from R -3, One and Two -
Family Residential Zone District to B -2, Subregional Business Zone District to
provide for the construction of an office building for the Letter Carriers Union.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
None.
