BACKGROUND
Pueblo Transit has been allocated a Federal Capital Grant # CO -04- 0001 -00 for FY
2006, funding in the amount of $221,404. These funds are intended to purchase one (1)
35 — 40 foot ADA Transit Coach for replacement of a non -ADA Transit Coach.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
In the 2006 budget, the total capital cost was estimated to be $255,000. However, the
total project cost (bus purchase) is now anticipated to be $278,750. The difference of
$23,750 will come from the following: $17,404 increase in the federal grant award;
$1,995 carried forward from 2005 unspent capital project funds (project BCO503); and an
additional required match of $4,351 to be transferred from the City's general fund
reserve.
An amendment to the "Application for Federal Assistance' (attached) will be submitted to
FTA to reflect the increase in the bus cost.
