AN ORDINANCE CHANGING ZONING RESTRICTIONS FROM B -2 TO R -5 COVERING A
PARCEL OF LAND COMMONLY KNOWN AS 637 WILSON AVENUE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
The zoning restrictions covering the following described property be changed from B -2,
Subregional Business District to R -5, Mixed Residential and Office District, and upon passage of
this ordinance, zoning restrictions affecting R -5, Mixed Residential and Office District, shall apply to
said property:
Northwest one -half of Lot 6, Block J, South Pueblo.
and more commonly known as:
637 Wilson Avenue.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon final passage and approval.

ISSUE
Shall City Council approve a request to rezone the property from B -2,
Subregional Business District, to R -5, Multiple Residential and Office District, to
allow a child care home as a Use By Right?
RECOMMENDATION
The Planning and Zoning Commission, at their September 13, 2006 regular
meeting, voted 5 -0 to recommend approval.
BACKGROUND
The applicant proposes rezoning their property from a B -2, Subregional Business
District to an R -5, Multiple - Residential and Office District to allow a child care
home as a Use by Right. The property has historically been used as a single -
family residence.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
None.
