HomeMy WebLinkAbout07507ORDINANCE NO. 7507 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY OF PUEBLO FISCAL YEAR 2006 STAFFING LEVEL FOR THE WASTEWATER DEPARTMENT BY ADDING A WATER RECLAMATION WORKER I POSITION AND BY ELIMINATING A SENIOR WWTP MAINTENANCE MECHANIC POSITION WHEREAS, the Director of Wastewater, the Director of Human Resources, and the City Manager have determined that the needs of the Wastewater Department will best be met through the addition of a Water Reclamation Worker I position and the elimination of a Senior WWTP Maintenance Mechanic position, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: (brackets indicate matter being deleted, underscoring indicates matter being added) SECTION 1. RECOMMENDATION The Ordinance be approved. BACKGROUND The Director of Wastewater, the Director of Human Resources, and the City Manager have determined that the needs of the Wastewater Department will best be met by amending the staffing level. With the promotion of the previous Senior WWTP Maintenance Mechanic, the department now has a vacancy and we are requesting to eliminate this position and add a Water Reclamation Worker I position. These modifications to the staffing are needed to efficiently handle the workload of the Department. FINANCIAL IMPACT The estimated annual savings to the budget will be $19,147
