ISSUE
Shall City Council approve a request to rezone the property from B -1,
Neighborhood Business District to B -3, Highway and Arterial Business District?
RECOMMENDATION
The Planning and Zoning Commission, at their May 10, 2006 regular meeting,
voted 6 -0 to recommend approval.
BACKGROUND
City Council approved the Vaughn Subdivision in January of 1995. Applicant
contends that by the definition of the B -3 zone district the Zoning Ordinance
should allow this property to be zoned B -3. The application implies that the City
must have erred when it annexed the property into the City and zoned it B -1.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
None.
