TITLE
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY OF PUEBLO FISCAL YEAR 2006
STAFFING LEVEL FOR THE LAND USE ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT BY
ADDING A PLANNER POSITION AND A CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER
POSITION AND BY ELIMINATING A SENIOR PLANNER — LAND USE
POSITION
ISSUE
Should the Land Use Administration Department be authorized to add a Planner
position and a Code Enforcement Officer position and eliminate a Senior Planner
- Land Use position to best meet the current needs of the Department?
The Ordinance be approved.
The Director of Land Use Administration, the Director of Human Resources, and
the City Manager have determined that the needs of the Land Use Administration
Department will best be met by amending the staffing level. With the promotion
of the previous Senior Planner — Land Use, the department now has a vacancy
and we are requesting to eliminate this position and add an entry-level Planner
position and a Code Enforcement Officer. These modifications to the staffing are
needed to efficiently handle the workload of the Department.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
There will be no additional budget cost to the City for fiscal year 2006. The
estimated additional cost for 2007 will be $10,543.00.
