HomeMy WebLinkAbout07448ORDINANCE NO. 7448 AN ORDINANCE CHANGING ZONING RESTRICTIONS FROM B -4 AND 1 -2 TO B -4 COVERING A PARCEL OF LAND COMMONLY KNOWN AS A PORTION OF BLOCK 14, STATE ADDITION SUBDIVISION BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. The zoning restrictions covering the following described property be changed from B -4, Regional Business District, and 1 -2, Light Industrial District, to B -4, Regional Business District, and upon passage of this ordinance, zoning restrictions affecting B -4, Regional Business District shall apply to said property: Parcel 1: A portion of Lots 11 and 12, Block 14, State Addition to Pueblo, according to the recorded Plat thereof, filed for record January 28, 1878 and further described as follows: Beginning at the southeast corner of Lot 12, thence south 89 degrees 55 minutes west along the south line of said Block 14, a distance of 82.68 feet to a point that is 5.32 feet east of the southwest corner of said Lot 11: thence north 54 Degrees 24 Minutes 13 Seconds east across said Lots 11 and 12 a distance of 101.57 feet to a point on the east line of said Lot 12, thence south 00 Degrees 05 Minutes east along the east line of said Lot 12 a distance of 59 feet to the point of beginning. Excepting that portion conveyed to Pueblo, a Municipal Corporation recorded October 15, 1996 in Book 2937 at page 431, County of Pueblo, State of Colorado. Parcel 2: Lots 13 through 16, Block 14, State Addition to Pueblo, together with that portion of the South Y of the Vacated Alley adjacent to said Lots 13 through 16, as vacated by Ordinance No. 4453, recorded April 5, 1978 in Book 1929 at page 124, of the Pueblo County Records, City of Pueblo, County of Pueblo, State of Colorado. Parcel 3: That portion of Lots 9 through 12, Block 14, State Addition to Pueblo, together with that portion of the South Y of the Vacated Valley adjacent to said Lots 9 through 12, as vacated by Ordinance No. 4453, recorded April 5, 1978 in Book 1929 at page 124, of the Pueblo County Records, City of Pueblo, County of Pueblo, State of Colorado. and more commonly known as: A PORTION OF BLOCK 14, STATE ADDITION SUBDIVISION. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon final passage and approval. PACHECO TITLE AN ORDINANCE CHANGING ZONING RESTRICTIONS FROM B -4 AND 1 -2 TO B -4 COVERING A PARCEL OF LAND COMMONLY KNOWN AS A PORTION OF BLOCK 14, STATE ADDITION SUBDIVISION ISSUE Shall City Council approve a request to rezone the property from B -4, Regional Business District and 1 -2, Light Industrial District to B -4, Regional Business District? RECOMMENDATION The Planning and Zoning Commission, at their February 8, 2006 Regular Meeting, voted 6 -0 to recommend approval. BACKGROUND Block 14, State Addition Subdivision, is generally located at the north west corner of Elizabeth and Greenwood. The Diocese of Pueblo has acquired three (3) parcels of land to construct a new administration building. According to the City Zoning Map the property is covered by B -4 and 1 -2 zoning. This application is to bring the entire property ownership into the B -4 zone district designation. FINANCIAL IMPACT None.
