AN ORDINANCE CHANGING ZONING RESTRICTIONS FROM B -3 to S -1 COVERING A
PARCEL OF LAND COMMONLY KNOWN AS EAGLECROSS SUBDIVISION, 2 ND FILING
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
The zoning restrictions covering the following described property be changed from B -3,
Highway and Arterial Business District, and upon passage of this ordinance, zoning restrictions
affecting S -1, Governmental Use District shall apply to said property:
LOT 9, BLOCK 1, EAGLECROSS SUBDIVISION, 2 nd FILING,
and more commonly known as:
4600 EAGLERIDGE PLACE.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon final passage and approval.

ISSUE
Shall City Council approve a request to rezone the property from B -3, Highway
and Arterial Business District to S -1, Governmental Use District?
RECOMMENDATION
The Planning and Zoning Commission, at their November 9, 2005 regular
meeting, voted 5 -0 to recommend approval.
BACKGROUND
The Eaglecross Subdivision, 2 nd Filing, is generally located on the commercial
cul -de -sac south of Eagleridge Boulevard.
In order to build a new city- county animal shelter the subject property must be
rezoned for governmental use. The new animal shelter will be built on 2.9 acres
at the end of Eagleridge Place. The county government is in charge of building
the shelter, but both government entities will own the site.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
None.
