HomeMy WebLinkAbout07406Reception 1722135 04/16/2007 ORDINANCE NO. 7406 AN ORDINANCE VACATING STREETS AND ALLEYS IN A PORTION OF COLUMBIA HEIGHTS SUBDIVISION BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO, that: SECTION 1. A street and alley vacation in a portion of Columbia Heights Subdivision more particularly described as follows: That portion of Ashland Avenue adjacent to Block 9, Shull Avenue adjacent to Block 16, 17, 18, 23, 24 and 25, Osage Avenue adjacent to Blocks 24, 25, 26, and 27, California Avenue adjacent to Blocks 26 and 35, Grand Avenue adjacent to Blocks 24, 25, 26 and 27 and Cascade Avenue adjacent to Blocks 23 and 24 and alleys in Blocks 16, 24, 25, 26, and 27 and 35 as platted in Columbia Heights, according to the recorded plat thereof, filed for record May 23, 1888 in the County of Pueblo and State of Colorado, are hereby vacated. SECTION 2. PACHECO TITLE AN ORDINANCE VACATING STREETS AND ALLEYS IN A PORTION OF COLUMBIA HEIGHTS SUBDIVISION ISSUE Shall City Council approve the streets and alleys vacation in a portion of Columbia Heights Subdivision? The Planning and Zoning Commission, at their October 12, 2005, regular meeting, voted 4 -0 to recommend approval. BACKGROUND In order to redevelop the surrounding properties, the applicant requests the vacation of certain streets and alleys within the Columbia Heights Subdivision platted in 1888. The property is generally located on the west and east sides of Thames Drive and north of Colorado State Highway 78. It is the recommendation of the Subdivision Review Committee (SRC) memo dated November 2, 2005, that the vacation be approved. This application is concurrent with Subdivision S- 05 -11, which was also approved unanimously. FINANCIAL IMPACT None.
