HomeMy WebLinkAbout07404ORDINANCE NO. 7404 AN ORDINANCE CHANGING ZONING RESTRICTIONS FROM R -2 TO R -2U COVERING A PARCEL OF LAND COMMONLY KNOWN AS FOREST GLEN SUBDIVISION BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. The zoning restrictions covering the following described property be changed from R -2, Single - Family Residential District to R -2U, Single - Family Residential District, and upon passage of this ordinance, zoning restrictions affecting R -2U, Single - Family Residential District shall apply to said property: LOTS 1 -6, BLOCK 1; LOTS 1 -4, BLOCK 2; LOTS 1 -2, BLOCK 3; LOTS 1 -26, 28 -35, 39 -40, BLOCK 4, PARCEL A AND B and more commonly known as: FOREST GLEN SUBDIVISION. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon final passage and approval. PACHECO TITLE AN ORDINANCE CHANGING ZONING RESTRICTIONS FROM R -2 TO R -21.1 COVERING A PARCEL OF LAND COMMONLY KNOWN AS FOREST GLEN SUBDIVISION ISSUE Shall City Council approve a request to rezone the property from R -2, Single - Family Residential District to R -2U, Single - Family Residential District? The Planning and Zoning Commission, at their October 12, 2005 regular meeting, voted 4 -0 to recommend approval. BACKGROUND Forest Glen Subdivision is generally located on the west corner of Siena Drive & Colorado State Highway 78. On December 27, 2004, City Council approved the Forest Glen Subdivision. At the time this plat was approved the City had not yet approved the new R -2U zone district. The applicant wishes to utilize the relaxed front yard setback requirements of the R -2U zone district to provide more flexibility in siting new single family residences. FINANCIAL IMPACT None.
