AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 16 OF TITLE VI, CHAPTER 5, OF THE PUEBLO
MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO CLASSIFICATION AND PAY PLAN (2005) BY ADDING THE
NEW POSITION OF COMMUNITY AND DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST (GRANT AND HOUSING
SPECIALIST 1)
WHEREAS, the Housing and Community Services Director, the Human Resources Director
and the City Manager have determined that the needs of the Housing and Community Services
Department will be best met by amending the Salary Ordinance by adding the position of Community
and Development Specialist (Grant and Housing Specialist 1).
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
(brackets indicate matter being deleted, underscoring indicates matter being added)
SECTION 1.
Sec. 6- 5 -16(a) shall be amended to include:
Community and Development Specialist (Grant and Housing Specialist 1)

SECTION 2.
This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon final passage and approval.

ISSUE
Should City Council approve changes in the Classification and Pay Plan (2005)
by adding the new position of Community and Development Specialist (Grant
and Housing Specialist 1)?
RECOMMENDATION
That the Ordinance be approved.
BACKGROUND
The Housing and Community Services Director, the Human Resources Director and the
City Manager have determined that the needs of the Housing and Community Services
Department will be best met by amending the Salary Ordinance by adding the position of
Community and Development Specialist (Grant and Housing Specialist 1).
FINANCIAL IMPACT
None, this ordinance only adds classifications to the existing salary ordinance.
