AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING FUNDS FROM CAPITAL PROJECT
WSO401 AND AMENDING THE CITY OF PUEBLO 2005 BUDGET FOR THE
WALKING STICK GOLF COURSE ENTERPRISE FUND BY INCREASING THE
CAPITAL OUTLAY AND MAKING APPROPRIATION THEREFORE
ISSUE
Should City Council increase the 2005 capital outlay budget for Walking Stick
Golf Course?
RECOMMENDATION
Approval of this Ordinance.
BACKGROUND
In preparation for the 2006 United States Women's Amateur Public Links
Championship, Walking Stick Golf Course is in need of two new Greenmaster
mowers as the existing mowers are no longer serviceable.
In order to purchase one of these mowers at this time, the Walking Stick Golf
Course capital outlay budget will need to be amended. This budget increase will
mean that cash for the purchase of the mower will come from the balance of
funds remaining in the Walking Stick Golf Course Path Renovation Project -
WSO401 — in the amount of $25,000.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The cost of the two new mowers is estimated to be $48,000. The transfer of the
$24,000 balance from the Walking Stick Golf Cart Path Renovation Project will
be used to fund this increase in the capital outlay budget at Walking Stick Golf
Course to purchase one mower at this time. It is anticipated that there will be
sufficient funds remaining and available when the cart path project is completed
in May of this year to transfer
the $23,000 needed to purchase
the other mower.
The amended golf course operating budget is as follows:
