AN ORDINANCE CHANGING ZONING RESTRICTIONS FROM 1 -2 TO R -5 COVERING A
PARCEL OF LAND COMMONLY KNOWN AS 619 WEST 9 STREET
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
The zoning restrictions covering the following described property be changed from 1 -2, Light
Industrial District, to R -5, Multiple - Residential and Office District, and upon passage of this
ordinance, zoning restrictions affecting to R -5, Multiple - Residential and Office District shall
apply to said property:
LOT 11, BLOCK 45, COUNTY ADDITION SUBDIVISION,
and more commonly known as:
619 WEST 9 STREET.
SECTION 2_
This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon final passage and approval.

ISSUE
Shall City Council approve a request to rezone the property from 1 -2, Light
Industrial District to a R -5, Multiple - Residential and Office District?
RECOMMENDATION
The Planning and Zoning Commission, at their October 13, 2004 Regular
Meeting, voted 6 -0 to recommend approval.
BACKGROUND
The applicant is requesting to rezone the subject property from 1 -2, Light
Industrial District to R -5, Multiple - Residential and Office District in order to align
the zoning with the use. As a residential property within an industrial district the
buyer cannot secure a mortgage for a non - conforming use of the building.
