HomeMy WebLinkAbout07204ORDINANCE NO. 7204 AN ORDINANCE CHANGING ZONING RESTRICTIONS FROM R -1 TO R -2 FOR LOTS 1 -4, AND S -1 FOR LOTS 5 -8 COVERING A PARCEL OF LAND COMMONLY KNOWN AS BLOCK 1, PUEBLO DEL SOL SUBDIVISION WHICH IS LOCATED ON THE EASTSIDE OF BANDERA BOULEVARD BETWEEN COLORADO STATE HIGHWAY 78 AND CAPRI PLACE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1 _ The zoning restrictions covering the following described property be changed from R -1, Single - Family Residential District, to R -2, Single - Family Residential District and S -1, Governmental Use District and upon passage of this ordinance, zoning restrictions affecting R -2, Single - Family Residential District and S -1, Government Use District shall apply to said property: R -1 TO R -2 LOTS 1 -4, BLOCK 1, PUEBLO DEL SOL SUBDIVISION, R -1 TO S -1 LOTS 5 -8, BLOCK 1, PUEBLO DEL SUBDIVISION, and more commonly known as: EASTSIDE OF BANDERA BOULEVARD BETWEEN COLORADO STATE HIGHWAY 78 AND CAPRI PLACE. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon final passage and approval. RECOMMENDATION The Planning and Zoning Commission voted 5 -0 -1 (Lytle) to recommend approval. BACKGROUND The applicant is requesting to rezone the property from R -1, Single - Family Residential District to a S -1, Governmental Use District, to allow for the construction of a fire station on Lots 5 -8, and to allow for single - family residences, with a minimum 5,000 square feet lot area, on Lots 1-4. No opposition to this application was presented and the Planning and Zoning Commission approved the rezoning at their June 9, 2004 hearing. FINANCIAL IMPACT None
